Our Mission
GB2 Recreational Sports Inc. is a nonprofit organization focusing on reaching out to young girls between fourth and 11 grade, to help train them in the sport of basketball. To have them participate in basketball games at grade level or above. Our goal is to help promote sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership through the game of basketball. We will use condition training to help strengthen their body & mind and fundamental basketball skill work to help enhance their dribbling, passing and defensive skill set. We are hoping these skills will help them on and off the court when dealing with life lessons. We are seeking to gain donations through sponsorships like corporations, team fees and fundraisers. These donations and fundraising events will allow us to buy team uniforms, shoes and help with traveling to AAU events.
We know basketball can be expensive for some households, so our goal is to be able to provide financial help to those families through the donations we receive. Our goal is to create
a scholarship fund for those players coming up through our program wanting to attend college as an athlete. They would have to hold a scholarship offer for basketball at any given University or College and have to submit an essay letting us know why they should be chosen for the scholarship.
We believe all young girls can embrace their athletic potential, define their future, and become leaders on and off the basketball court.
